We are a well-established, multi-office logistics company, looking for an experienced, dynamic Freight Brokerage Manager and Trainer to join our team! You will be responsible for increasing the sales and profit of the Company through effective recruiting and management of a team of independent freight brokers, including but not limited to: planning, creating, organizing and managing the fundamental day-to-day aspects of the Company’s business; working with the executive team to develop, track and maintain consistent KPIs; training and mentoring a team of independent agents to provide the best possible services to develop more solid and diversified customer and carrier relationships necessary to meet specific goals and objectives defined by the Company’s executive team and corporate partners.


  • Identify, recruit, interview and recommend applicants for independent agent training program with the goal of increasing the size, productivity and performance of the independent freight agent team

  • Assist new agents in the development, management and maintenance of new and existing relationships with customers and carriers

  • Manage and motivate freight agents and trainees to increase sales and ensure efficiency

  • Ensure all agent team members are aware of and follow all corporate and company procedures

  • Initiating programs and changes to improve the Company’s business

  • Work with the executive team to prepare and provide feedback and weekly sales reviews independent agent team members

  • Work with the executive team to identify, coach and resolve independent agent performance issues

  • Support the Company’s monthly performance matrix while obtaining, and exceeding his/her individual metrics


  • Excellent communications skills and high levels of competence, maturity and confidence are required

  • At least (2) two years of experience in freight brokerage/freight dispatching and management

  • Ability to learn quickly and be self-motivated, proactive and driven to meet, and exceed,company metrics expectations

  • Ability identify, recruit, train, develop, drive and motivate a diverse group of agent training program participants

  • Pays careful attention to details and accuracy of all Company and corporate partner requirements

  • Manages client issues and situations promptly and professionally

  • Ability to multi-task, maintain composure and exercise sound judgment while working independently in a fast-paced transportation environment

  • High School Diploma or GED minimum requirement

  • (2) Two years of experience in Freight Brokerage/Freight Dispatching Management minimum requirement

  • Strong management, customer service, sales, customer development or business development experience preferred

  • General understanding or knowledge of the transportation industry preferred

  • Ability to efficiently and accurately prepare routine reports, documents and correspondence

  • Ability to apply common sense and sound judgment to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form

We are searching for EXPERIENCED freight brokers/agents who are seeking a new commission-based freight sales opportunity promoting third party truckload freight services to their customer contacts (dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, heavy-haul/over-dimensional, and/or power-only). As an independent agent (1099), you operate as your own boss, working remotely from the comfort of your own home, representing Wright Lane under our brokerage authority, soliciting freight services from your customers, arranging the transportation with one of our contract carriers, and monitoring the freight to its final destination. We provide ALL of the back office administrative and support work so that you can focus on selling and moving freight for your customers, plus we protect our agents from financial risks associated with customer payments and claims. Successful agents generate a 6-figure income.


  • Experience selling truckload transportation services

  • An existing or recently active customer base

  • A desire to maximize your income on a commission basis (no limit on earnings potential)

  • Self-motivated and customer service-oriented
